There are 5 project results:

R1: Situation analysis, review policies and good practices at local and national level. Comparative analysis of national frameworks

R1: Situation analysis, review policies and good practices at local and national level. Comparative analysis of national frameworks.

The research, policies review and situation analysis will be conducted by partners in the participating countries. It will be carried out by a research study and surveying / focus group to the target groups. Also, a comparative analysis of the situation between the participating countries will be produced. According to different studies conducted by the European Commission on External Relations, information on the situation of LAC migrants is limited, therefore, the need to study the current state of inclusion of LAC migrants and refugees into the labour market of the receiving country and a comparative analysis of the participating countries.

Elements of innovation:

  • A thorough and up-to-date research analysis on the current state of LAC migrants and refugees and their integration status into the labour market.
  • Transferability potential: The outcomes of this result will be accessible and of high usability by officials and organizations working in related fields, as well as academia and research institutions. The study will create a common ground for innovative and future strategies and policies for inclusion.

Target groups: The main target group of the study are LAC migrants and refugees but also involved organisations, and beneficiaries.

R2: Best Practices and E-learning Portal for Education and Learning Material. Online seminars, webinars, online trainings and community engagement platform.

The creation of a website for the project were all information related to the project will be available, including interactive maps and figures of the current situation of LAC migrants and refugees across Europe. The platform will be updated regularly and will include a network of organizations across Europe that work with the target groups. It will also include Open Education Resources (OER) and all research and academic publications and dissemination activities derived from the project. The platform will work as a comprehensive tool that takes into account all the project outcomes in order to provide the target groups and beneficiaries with accessible and thorough information.

Elements of innovation:

  • All information related to the project will be available through the website.
  • Interactive maps on LAC migrants and refugees
  • User free registration system
  • The platform will include outcomes of R1, R3, R4 and R5.

Expected impact: Raise awareness on the policies and the realities of the integration of LAC migrants and refugees. At least 50 participants will be actively involved in the OER, in this way, they will enhance their knowledge through guidance focused on their specific needs.

R3:  Online Survey Research and Report

The project result will contribute to the needs analysis of the target group (LAC migrants and refugees) to directly learn about the challenges, obstacles they may face and opportunities, as well as their current labour status and education. It will consist on the development and application of surveys, questionnaires and focus groups. The aim of this project result is to acquired information directly from the target groups, having their views, thoughts and needs at the centre of the study and throughout the development of the project. It will be produced in the countries of partner organizations. The findings will be published in the project’s website and an interactive map with facts and figures will be produced. The project also will use these findings to add to the production of the whole research analysis and for the next project results with the aim of producing an academic publication.

Elements of innovation: An interactive map will be produced with relevant information and up-to-date figures. The map and all information will published in the project’s online platform and disseminated through the outreach campaign camping of R4.

R4: Public Outreach Campaign

R5: Academic / scientific/ research paper

The aim of result is to create academic publication that analyses the issue, and that uses all the information, research and results obtained throughout the project. The written outputs will also be uploaded into the project’s website and will be disseminated through social media, and an online presentation of the publication will be made as part of the outreach campaign. Other events may take place to raise awareness and share the project’s result and publications. Elements of innovation: An innovative academic publication in which the issue is boarded through the findings of the project’s results. It will include the R1, R2 and R3.

Target groups: The target group of this result are students interested in the topic, academia and related organisations.

Elements of innovation: The effective integration of migration into the ongoing development activities of Europe is essential to ensure successful outcomes. Currently, information about LAC migrants and refugees and their status in the labour market, as well as other factor such as their education is limited. Therefore, the R5 aims to provide academic grounds for inclusion through policy change.
